When Sigils meet Egregores

Kilroy was here is a meme that became popular during World War II (before Memes were really even a thing). Typically seen in graffiti form, Its origin is debated, but the phrase and the distinctive accompanying doodle became associated with GIs in the 1940s: a bald-headed man (sometimes depicted as having a few hairs) with a prominent nose peeking over a wall with his fingers clutching the wall.
‘Kilroy’ was the American equivalent of the Australian ‘Foo was here’ which originated during World War I. ‘Mr Chad’ or just ‘Chad’ was the version that became popular in the United Kingdom. The character of Chad may have been derived from a British cartoonist in 1938, possibly pre-dating ‘Kilroy was here’. According to Dave Wilton, "Some time during the war, Chad and Kilroy met, and in the spirit of Allied unity merged, with the British drawing appearing over the American phrase."
So what does this have to do with Witchcraft, well apart from being one of the hints in the ‘Witch Wars 2’ Competition intro graphic for earlier this year, it highlights the power of memes, or atleast the positive power of memes from way back when (before the internet) and of course their potential uses in sigil magic or magic in general to be fair lol.
There is a certain person in our community groups (well more than one to be fair) who uses sigil magic in their FB profile, they like to draw attention to themselves whereby drawing attention to their profile pic (which happens to be a sigil) and uses this to draw energy in to power a certain altar to a Goddess they work with (although I use the term ‘work with’ loosely lol).
This is one of many uses for sigils, but the interesting thing here isn’t this basic sigil magic which I'm sure most people reading this are familiar with, but instead what the sigil is designed to do. I’m sure some of you may be getting ready to scroll through the members section to see if you can see the person and you might be able to find the profile i’m talking about (if it’s still there lol.)
To the person who created this sigil I have to say “Well done it’s very amusing although a little chintzy I dare say lol” and “I fully support this kind of magical trouble making” after all ‘where attention goes, energy flows’ but if I can i’d like to draw attention to this sigils purpose. I’m presuming that if you are wanting to keep this a secret then you will remove the sigil and replace it with something else so i’m not even going to bother asking permission to reveal this little gem you have created lol.
The purpose of the sigil is to power a Tulpa. I say Tulpa and not egregore because this spirit you have created who is masquerading as a Goddess isn’t particularly well programmed, she is almost getting to the stage of being a self aware entity, but it looks like she hasn’t evolved that much yet. I make the presumption that this is some kind of occult / magical experiment and I'm sure it’s been working well for you.
I notice that if the spirit you have made isn’t fully developed yet, that it’s not really designed to do anything specific and is like I already said, essentially a Tulpa. I presume that this experiment is something to do with watching it / her develop, but of course I can’t really be sure about that lol.
The reason I am making this blog post isn’t to call you out or anything like that. I like the idea and have done similar things myself before however I wonder if you’ve considered using a meme of this Goddess? If you're wanting to make a Tulpa then what better way to get people pushing energy into the entity and watching the personality develop than to create a basic look for it or maybe even a cartoon or something.
This blog opened with a little chat about ‘Kilroy’ but what if you did something similar? I dare say given that it’s some kind of Goddess your trying to create that if your put a few memes together and posted them in some Beginner Witchcraft Groups or Maybe even Wiccan Groups, that you've have all the newbies picking your Tulpa as some kind of Patreon Goddess lolz.
This happened a lot in Glastonbury and other such places where fake Goddesses / Egregores are created to suck in the energies of the mundane tourists lol.
Anyway, keep up the good work and I did enjoy the approach you took with this little project of yours xoxo
